According to
VARIETY.COM, Liam Neeson (Ra's Al Ghul in
BATMAN BEGINS) is in talks with Fox to play Col. John "Hannibal" Smith in the big-sceen adaptation of
THE A-TEAM to be directed by Joe Carnahan.

Ridley Scott is producing with Jules Daly and Stephen J. Cannell (creator of the TV show), with Tony Scott exec producing through Scott Free. Carnahan and Brian Bloom polished a script by Skip Woods (G.I. JOE, WOLVERINE). THE A-TEAM begins filming in August for a June 11, 2010 release.
In related news, THE HANGOVER's Bradley Cooper is said to be in early talks to play Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck (Cooper is also said to be a leading candidate for the lead in GREEN LANTERN).
