THE MAN OF STEEL Picking Up Steam?

According to my friends over at IESB.NET, MAN OF STEEL -- the possible sequel to 2006's SUPERMAN RETURNS -- may be getting moved to the front of the stove over in Burbank. Here's a bit from their report:

"[Our sources within Warner Bros.] who believe that THE MAN OF STEEL is picking up speed and since the strike ended various 'A' list writers have gone in with promising pitches. Bryan Singer is still attached and the studio big wigs are still counting on him directing the sequel."

BOF has heard basically the same thing -- that TMOS may be on the verge of getting "fast-tracked" if the new writers come up with a story that the studio really likes.

In fact, it's known that Warner Bros. is looking for "Super-Scribes" now that the strike is over. It wouldn't be any stretch of the imagination to think that the studio has already listened to a few TMOS pitches.

Also of note, IESB.NET says that sources "Down Under" tell them that JUSTICE LEAGUE might -- MIGHT -- get another chance this summer. BOF sources have indicated that JL -- at least this recent version -- is as dead as Caesar. And that's a REALLY good thing.
