If youíre reading this, you probably know how I feel about spoilers and posting them on websites. If you donít, hereís a quick FYIÖ

I. HATE. THEM.

I. WILL. NOT. POST. THEM.

Iím also sure many of you reading this know that a plethora of very spoilerish SUICIDE SQUAD set pics and video made it to the Net over the last week or so. And many people, including yours truly, werenít too happy about it. While I knew about a certain cameo that was set to take place in the film, what was shot on location on the streets of Toronto was something I rather had not seen. Additionally, there was video of a scene between Jared Letoís Joker and one of Margot Robbieís characters (Iíll leave it at that) that provided T.M.I. as well (thought Warner Bros. did shut most of that down).

So, how spoiled are we? Not that much so says the filmís director, David Ayer, via TwitterÖ

OK, fineÖbut I still wish all that stuff hadnít got out.

The cynic in me says that Warner Bros. really didnít care if that stuff was leaked Ė especially what we saw concerning that certain aforementioned cameo Ė as it is basically free publicity for the film. With that said, I still donít believe that Mr. Ayer and the studio are happy about how much got out. But when you film on location in a city as big as Toronto in this day and age - and throw in the fact that EVERYONE has a camera in the palm of their hand - I guess itís a risk some filmmakers are willing to take. It seems that Mr. Ayer is one of those filmmakers...

And before we throw stones at Mr. Ayer, letís remember that a lot of stuff from both THE DARK KNIGHT and THE DARK KNIGHT RISES was caught on cell phone cameras and showed up online as well with the notoriously secretive and anal (I mean that as a HUGE compliment my friend!) Chris Nolan at the helm. (Hell, the finale between Batman and Bane was posted online via spy pics/video!)

At the end of the day, itís all about context. Yes, we all saw things we wish we hadnít seen Ė and Iím sure the studio and filmmaker wishes we hadnít seen Ďem either. But other than that, we really donít know very much about this film. Iím going to hold Mr. Ayer to his word/Tweet that the best it yet to come once we see the movie.
