Yes, I’ve said this many times before here on BOF and I’m sure it now induces rolling of the eyes, but…

I LOVE BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD!

Today I’m here to offer my advice on whether or not you should purchase the show’s new DVD release, BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, SEASON ONE, PART TWO. Before I do exactly that, let me offer a quick review of what you’ll find on this disc.

There are 13 “widescreen” episodes which come in English, Spanish, or French -- with subtitles for English and French. And that’s it y’all -- no extras to be had whatsoever.

However, a few of the series’ best episodes are part of this DVD:

* “Trials of the Demon!” - Batman travels back in time and partners up with his Elizabethan detective equal, Sherlock Holmes.

* “The Color of Revenge!” - This one bring us the first appearance of Robin, The Boy Wonder on B:TB&TB. Even better, the great Crazy Quilt is this episode’s main villain! “I thought you liked sidecar?” When me and FJD chill, he rides sidecar.

* “Legends of the Dark Mite!” - Only this series could make Bat-Mite work and work well!

* “Mayhem of the Music Meister!” - A Batman musical? Yes it is and it’s awesome! I can guarantee you’ll have at least two of the numbers stuck in your head for days!

So now’s comes the part where I’ve got to tell you all if I think you should spend your hard-earned money on this DVD.

Well, it depends.

If you’re an adult Batman fan and buying it for you and you only, I’d wait for the release of the “Complete Series” box set on DVD/Blu-ray. You know it’s coming and will surely include all the bells-and-whistles we’ve come to expect with such.

On the other hand, if you’re an adult Batman fan with kids, I’d say buy it. It’s not that expensive ($15 bucks) and will certainly help you brainwash your offspring into becoming Batman fans.

Honestly, if I hadn’t got it free for reviewing purposes, I still would have bought it for my 10 and 14 year old boys. (And truth be told, my 16 year old daughter needs to be included as well -- but I didn’t say that, OK? She’d “die” if her friends knew she digs Batman!)

To recap…

* If you watch OPRAH, Lifetime, or THE REAL HOUSEWIVES of WHEREVER, don't buy.

* Adult Batman fans wait for the box set.

* Adult Batman fans with kids might want to pick it up for indoctrination purposes.

* Fanboys should buy it to give themselves something else to bitch and complain about.
