According to BLEEDINGCOOL.COM, BATMAN scribe Scott Snyder is leaving the flagship Batman comic book title and returnign to DETECTIVE COMICS.

"DETECTIVE COMICS will remain a monthly title," the site reports. "The decision to switch books is more likely to be remove Snyder from the event driven nature of some modern comics, and of the pressure of writing the lead Batbook, and DCís bestselling title. He will be more able to do as he pleases with he character."

Scott Snyder is my favorite Batman writer, so I'm just glad the dude is continuting to write Batman -- for which title doesn't matter to me. Frankly, I'm weary of the constant "Events" such as "YEAR ZERO," "SUPERHEAVY," etc. as well. I much prefer stories that start and finish within one or two issues; just like the Batman comics I grew up reading.

What do you think of this rumored -- but apparently legit -- move? Post your take in the comments section below!
