OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS: This is it! The mystery killer is unmasked! The secret of the new Catwoman is revealed! Gotham City is under siege! Terry McGinnis and Bruce Wayne are at odds! And Batman is torn between duty, doubt, and a vengeance-crazed super-villain!

Hush's identity is revealed in issue #4 of BATMAN BEYOND.

L This version of Hush is cruel, violent and sadistic. The battle between Hush and Batman (Terry McGinnis) is a good way to show how both the brashness of the new Batman and the inflexibility of Bruce Wayne are allowing Hush to defeat both at their own game.

I really enjoyed Ryan Benjamin’s art here. He manages to give everything that degree of seriousness it needed, all the while driving the point home that this isn't the animated TV show.

There’s also a nice scene where we get some backstory on what happened to Dick Grayson and Nightwing. After all the wonderful comic book fun, this issue grinds to a halt on the last page…leaving a bitter taste of “WTF?!” in my mouth.

If the final two issues are like this one, this could be one of the best comic book miniseries of the year.
