Batman's pursuit of Hush continues...
This issue starts off right in the middle of a fight scene. Julian Day AKA “Calendar Man,” is Hush's next target and Batman has to protect him. Unfortunately, Hush is whoopin' his butt.
I was very pleased with this issue. I lost some faith after issue #2, but I am back on the bandwagon after reading this one.
Terry continues his struggles of maintaining a life outside of the Bat-Suit, and Bruce continues to be his usual self -- an A-hole. The relationship between these two is shaping up to be better than anything the BATMAN BEYOND animated series did. That speaks volumes for what writer Adam Beechen is doing in this miniseries. In addition, the art is quite good and seems to be getting better in each subsequent issue.
In short, BATMAN BEYOND #3 was a solid read and much better than the previous issue. A lot of throwbacks to the series -- including an interesting nod to RETURN OF THE JOKER.
Oh yeah, a certain former Boy Wonder made a brief appearance -- which was pretty darn cool.
