Here is my review of
BATGIRL #2: Good Lord! The batting average of "Batman Reborn” has dropped significantly thanks to this title.
Stephanie Brown continues her adventures as the new Batgirl with the original Batgirl -- Barbara Gordon -- serving as her mentor. A new drug has hit the streets, and it’s up to Steph to find answers.
Oh dear God, I am sorry that I said this series had potential. Forgive me Bat-fans. I have never wanted a comic book to end, as badly when reading this title.
The writing = Poor…
The artwork = Decent enough…
The premise = Sad and depressing.
I seriously do not believe a 36 year old male, should write from a teenage girl’s perspective in any medium.
Who is this book aiming to please? Grown men who don't care about what villains "tweet" about? Teenage boys who don't care about teenage girl “superheroes?” Or teenage girls who don't read comic books?
And am I supposed to believe that Oracle practically runs Gotham on
two Macs and a flat screen? What the F?!
DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! (Though I will keep reviewing it for BOF and share my agony with all who reads.)
