Matu suffers severe burns from an attack by Sky Pirate who believes he is Batwing. While in critical condition, Matu tells David the name of the orphanage where they met. David is suspended after two corrupt cops were shot by Dawn with his gun. David retrieves a Batwing suit Matu hid at the orphanage.
DETECTIVE COMICS #18
Batman attempts to apprehend the Penguin, who figures out Ogilvy has taken his property and his assets while Victor Zsasz is on the loose seeking revenge on the Penguin. Zsasz goes on a killing spree and among his victims are the Penguin’s lawyers which results in the Penguin’s arrest. Ogilvy comes into possession of the Man-Bat serum.
Barbara finds out about the death of Damian but manages to continue to focus on her pursuit of Firebug and she catches him. However, her brother, James Gordon Jr., is still at large and threatens his mother during a phone call.
Harper Row returns and confronts both Batman and Bruce Wayne on separate occasions. Harper is concerned about Batman due to the tragedy he has endured recently. She reveals that she knows Batman helped put her father in prison. Harper and Batman reach a mutual understanding by the end of the issue.
BATMAN AND ROBIN #18
In an issue without dialogue, Bruce is clearly struggling due to the death of his son. He finds a letter written by Damian and his son explains that he was going to help his father against Talia and Leviathan despite his father’s insistence that he not do so. Damian concludes his letter by writing that his mother gave him his life but that his father taught him how to live.
Batwoman and Bette manage to subdue Mr. Freeze and Batman arrives but Batwoman ignores his offer to help her get out of the circumstances she is in. Chase and Mr. Bones discuss what they should do in response to Batwoman being uncooperative with the DEO.
BIRDS OF PREY #18
Mr. Freeze wants to take revenge on the Court of Owls and demands the Birds give him Strix. During a physical altercation, Mr. Freeze kidnaps Starling and proposes the Birds trade Strix for her but Black Canary refuses Mr. Freeze’s offer
Batman confronts Catwoman over her taking of paintings at the Gotham Museum. Batman has a breakdown due to the loss of Damian and seeks out emotional support from Catwoman.
Sonia tells Dick that there is nothing wrong with having the support of other people during difficult times as Dick is still in mourning over the loss of Damian. Sonia reveals to Dick that her father, Tony Zucco, the murderer of Dick’s family, is still alive.
RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS #18
Jason is unconscious throughout the issue. At the end of Jason’s lethargic state, Bruce tells Jason they need to let go of everything that has happened between them. When Jason wakes up, he and Bruce hug each other.
BATMAN INCORPORATED #9
Due to the threat of Leviathan, the mayor orders that Bruce make himself available to the authorities and that Batman Incorporated and Batman himself are not welcomed in Gotham City.
BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT #18
The Mad Hatter visits a woman he liked as a child and murders her out of revenge for not reciprocating the feelings he had for her during his childhood. Bruce makes the choice to tell Natalya that he is Batman.
Batwing quits and a new member of the Bat-Family is prepared to take his place in Batwing #19.
Batman is challenged by the “Mystery of the 900” in Detective Comics #19.
Batgirl continues the battle with her brother, James Gordon Jr. in Batgirl #19.
Bruce continues struggling, as he is motivated to use a gun in Batman #19.
Batman meets someone that could alter his life in Batman And Robin #19.
Batwoman will need to cope with a family revelation in Batwoman #19.
A traitor on the Birds of Prey will be the focus of Birds Of Prey #19.
The Justice League of America will attempt to help Catwoman in Catwoman #19.
Nightwing is still disturbed from the Joker’s presence in Nightwing #19.
The fears that are underneath the Red Hood will be the focus of Red Hood And The Outlaws #19.
In Batman Incorporated #10, the war between Talia and Batman will continue.
With Gotham City being threatened, Batman’s unusual absence will be questioned in Batman: The Dark Knight #19 - Matt Grazel
