FEBRUARY: Harley Quinn’s origin is told in THE BATMAN ADVENTURES: MAD LOVE, a 64-page stand-alone story by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm.

JULY: Bruce Wayne begins to reclaim the mantle of Batman as “Knightsend” commences in BATMAN #509.

AUGUST: Jean-Paul Valley’s run as Batman comes to an end in BATMAN: LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT #63.

OCTOBER: As part of DC’s “Zero Hour” , Batman’s origin is retold in #0 issues of BATMAN, DETECTIVE COMICS, BATMAN: SHADOW OF THE BAT, and BATMAN: LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT.

NOVEMBER: Bruce Wayne temporarily gives the Batman mantle to the original Robin, Dick Grayson, as “Prodigal” begins in BATMAN #512.

DECEMBER: What if Bruce Wayne had become a Green Lantern? That “Elseworlds” story is told in BATMAN: IN DARKEST KNIGHT.

JETT REMEMBERS Like I said in the 1992 retrospective, I have all the comics listed here! I thought "Knightquest" and "Knightsend" were OK at best and the latter was rather anti-climatic. "Prodigal" ended up being a pretty good story overall. And I really liked those old "Elseworlds" tales -- like to see DC do some more of those today.
