New Producer Joining Reeves on THE BATMAN

Per DEADLINE.COM, Dylan Clark will likely come on board THE BATMAN as a producer. This will team him up again with director Matt Reeves as the two worked together on DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and the upcoming WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES.

This move will give the project four producers: Matt Reeves (who of course is also directing), Dylan Clark, along with its original producers, Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns.

Even though Affleck and Johns wrote the original script – which was also polished by BATMAN v SUPERMAN and JUSTICE LEAGUE writer Chris Terrio – it’s been reported that THE BATMAN will get a complete rewrite once Reeves goes to work on the film later this year. With the addition of Clark as producer and director/producer Matt Reeves having significant creative control, it’s very apparent that THE BATMAN will be a much different project from the one planned under Affleck and Johns.

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised in the least of Ben Affleck leaves the project altogether and Warner Bros. decides to reboot the Batman film series with Reeves and Clark now at the helm.
