EPISODE SUMMARY/REVIEW

THE BATMAN’s barefooted Joker is the real villain of this episode, not Catwoman.

I was always quite fond of this series’ interpretation of Selina Kyle as they always had her walking the line between being hero and villain. In “The Laughing Cats” (Certainly, a nod – in title only – to the classic 70s Batman comic book story, “The Laughing Fish.”), this aspect of the Catwoman/Selina character is spotlighted. While her team-up with Batman and Batgirl is legit, she’s playing them at the same time. Catwoman’s agenda is all that matters.

All in all, “The Laughing Cats” is another good installment of this very underrated animated Batman series. If you’re a fan of the Batman/Catwoman dynamic, I think you’ll definitely dig this episode. - Bill "Jett" Ramey
