EPISODE SUMMARY/REVIEW

While I never was a big fan of THE BATMAN’s take on Mr. Freeze, this episode was still enjoyable. The other Bat-Baddie on hand is The Penguin – who MUST be the villain that appeared in the most episodes over the course of this series.

In short, Mr. Freeze, The Penguin and Alfred – who partners with an old friend, not The Batman – go on a treasure hunt under Gotham Harbor. The lost fortune is tied to the Cobblepott family which led to more of the Cobblepott’s vs. Pennyworth’s family rivalry. Batman takes a backseat in this episode and there’s also no Batgirl (which was fine with me).

If you like THE BATMAN’s Alfred (who isn’t altered at all from how he’s normally portrayed in comics and other mediums) and The Penguin, you’ll like this episode. However, if you hoped to learn more about Mr. Freeze, nothing new is revealed. - Bill "Jett" Ramey
