I BELIEVE IN HARVEY DENT! - Texas Posted by: Jett Thursday, March 13, 2008 I started the day by doing an interview on the 94.5 The Buzz‘s “Rod Ryan Show.” Obviously, I talked about THE DARK KNIGHT and how badass it’s shaping up to be, but I also filled them in on the viral marketing taking place for the film in Houston. Speaking of that viral marketing… The Dentmobile’s first stop in town was scheduled to be at The Galleria -- a huge shopping complex located in uptown Houston. I got there early and didn’t see any sign of Dent campaigning even after the scheduled 11 AM start time. I parked and headed inside to see if anything was going on in there. Now this is a big ‘ol place, so it took me like a half hour to circle each level of the joint. I ran into several Bat-Fans, but I didn’t find the Dent rally. I found out later that they were pretty mobile while at The Galleria as several BOF‘ers sent in reports indicating that they indeed did find The Dentmobile at various spots around the mall. Since I didn’t find it myself, I headed over to the next scheduled stop: A Walmart on the southwest side of town. As I pulled up, I saw the Dentmobile right away -- success! The great part of this campaign was that the three Harvey Dent “supporters” running the rally was dead serious and in character the entire time! So, I picked up my Dent-swag and even joined several other fans in holding up signs on the side of the road for passersby to see. The look on these folk’s faces as they drove by us was priceless! At any rate, I chatted up the Dentmobile people for a bit and also videoed part of the extravaganza. Upon leaving, I was given a big box of Dent campaign paraphernalia and proceeded to visit a few of my favorite, um, “establishments,” where I sang the praises of Harvey Dent to anyone who would listen and passed out Dent swag!
