Chicago 2 TDK Shoot Report

The following is a totally "spoiler-free" report of TDK shoot in Chicago on July 5, 2007 from "Texman."

We took a cab to a location I'd heard about on your website. It's the lot between Randolph and Washington with all the trailers and things of that nature.

We met a friendly guy, and he pointed out that filming was taking place as we speak! He told us to go to XXXX Hotel. They were filming in the penthouse on the 39th floor. So, my cousin and I arrived there and immediately rushed to an elevator. The 39th floor was closed off, so, consequently we went to the 38th floor. This floor was strictly hair and make-up. We talked to some guys that were working the shoot [and they] gave us some information about the scene, but not without eventually telling us to head on down to the lobby.

We complied and then saw a clown/goon walking through the 38th floor hallway as we got on the elevator (I got a huge kick out of that). As we headed out of the hotel we stopped and talked to [some people associated with TDK].They informed us that they would be shooting in the penthouse for the next 4 days. I also asked about the set in the parking garage around XXXX St. and they said the Batcave set was there. However, they did not know whether the set was still up or not. They told me that in 2 weeks a chase scene would start filming. The chase scene was to take around 6 weeks.

That is basically everything that happened. I guess nothing too exciting, but I loved every minute of it. Also, thanks to all that helped out and gave us information.

Again, thanks to "Texman" for sending in this report. Sounds like this fellow Texans and Bat-Fan had a blast.
