Snyder on the Difference Between BvS's Batmobile and The Tumbler Posted by: Bill "Jett" Ramey (Follow @BATMANONFILM)

So, what’s the difference between the Batmobile we’ll see in BvS and the legendary Tumbler from “The Dark Knight Trilogy?” During a recent visit on CONAN, director Zack Snyder explained just that…
"First of all when we were working on the movie and we were like ‘We’re going to put Batman in the movie, that’s cool,’ I said ‘We need a Batmobile, right?’ Because if you’re the smallest amount of a dork you want to make a Batmobile right? That seems like the first thing you want to do. I think the cool thing that we try to do, you’ve seen the Chris Nolan Batman movies and the Tumbler, they repurposed a military vehicle. So the cool thing about our Batmobile is it is purposely built by Bruce Wayne to be the Batmobile, it allows it to be slightly Battier."
OK, while I agree that the BvS Batmobile is “Battier” than the Tumbler, it’s still not as Batty Batman’s ride in BATMAN ’89 or BATMAN FOREVER. Personally, I’ve always wanted to see the big Bat-head ala the 1940s Batmobile on one of the movie vehicles.
Speaking of The Batmobile, below you’ll find a clip from BvS featuring a game of “chicken” between The Dark Knight and The Man of Steel. Perhaps I’ll get to see the big ‘ol Bat-head on the front of Batfleck’s Batmobile 2.0 – ‘cause he’s gonna need a new one, right?
