UPDATE 4/23/15: BOF'er "Keith" sent in the picture you will find below under the original. Here's what he said in his email, "Seems you have some non-believers on the Robin suit, so I took your screen shot from the trailer into Photoshop in an attempt to get a better look at the suit. The gloves and cape are clearly viewable. I can't wait to find who the suit belongs to!" The original story is below...

It’s long been known that the Batman in BATMAN v SUPERMAN (Ben Affleck) has been Batmanning, if you will, for 15 to 20 years and will be depicted to be in his mid-40s. Consequently, we can assume that the world of Batman – included his classic rogues gallery and the “Batman Family” – will already exist in the DC Cinematic Universe. We can further conclude that there’s already been a Robin or three fighting crime alongside Batman in the DCCU’s Gotham City.

According to BOF’s spoilerless scooper “Shoeless,” Robin is indeed in BvS – well, at least a Robin costume that is. And it in fact can be seen in the first BvS trailer that was released last Friday and screened in IMAX this past Monday.

During the trailer, there’s a shot of a pissed-off, intense-looking Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) during a voice-over monologue by Alfred (Jeremy Irons). If you look over Affleck’s right shoulder (to your left if you’re looking at the image), you’ll see a costume hanging in the Batcave – and yes, he’s standing in the Batcave according to Shoeless. We’ve all speculated that that costume might be a Robin suit, including yours truly. Shoeless shot me a message today saying that suit absolutely belongs to Robin. (He also says that the Batcave is “sick” and possibly the most awesome set constructed for the entire film.) Here’s the picture…

So if that’s a Robin suit, is he alive or dead? And to whom does it belong – Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, or Carrie Kelly? I don’t know nor do I want to know – I’ll wait to I see the movie to find out. But I think it’s safe to assume that The Dynamic Duo does – or did – exist in the DCCU. What do you all think? Post your thoughts in the comment section below!

BATMAN v SUPERMAN hits theaters on MARCH 25, 2016.
