By way of ROBOTUNDERDOG.COM, here's a few blurbs from Gal Gadot - who is playing Wonder Woman in BATMAN v SUPERMAN and in an upcoming solo film - about being cast as Wonder Woman and the character in BvS...

On "backlash" over her being cast as Wonder Woman: "They said that I was too skinny and my boobs were too small. When I was younger, I would take criticism really hard. But now it mostly amuses me. The true Amazons had one boob so it wouldn't bother them in their archery. So itís not going to be like real Amazons. We always try to make everyone happy but we canít."

On Wonder Woman's DCCU powers: "She has unbelievable endurance. She is exceptionally strong. She can jump really high and practically fly. She knows tons of martial arts styles. She is a strong and serious woman."

I for one am glad to hear her dismiss ridiculous fanboy behavior over her casting as Wonder Woman. (CLICK HERE for a 2013 op-ed by yours truly over this very subject.) Also, I found her description of the DCCU Wonder Woman's powers noteworthy. It's going to be interesting to see how director Zack Snyder will adapt the character for the DCCU - which Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara has said will be "steeped in realism" and "edgier" when compared to the films produced by Marvel Studios. Clearly, Wonder Woman will be an Amazon; but who really are the Amazons? Are they truly the decedents of Greek gods? Or will Wonder Woman's Amazonian powers be explained in a "realistic" manner? Hell, maybe the Amazons are decendents of ancient Kryptonian astronauts (*wink*)? Regardless, I'm anxious to find out.

BATMAN v SUPERMAN hits theaters on MARCH 25, 2015.
