I’m not going to lie to you all, OK? This news (via VARIETY.COM) does make me very happy.

According to Warner Bros.’ Sue Kroll, president worldwide marketing and international distribution, the BATMAN v SUPERMAN footage shown at San Diego Comic Con ’14 will not be released publicly…

“That’s just going to live in that hall. We’ll post extended trailers and stills, but that presentation, that was just for those fans.”

As it should be.

Again, as Ms. Kroll points out, this footage was exclusive to SDCC ’14 and for the folks who were lucky enough to be there in Hall H to see it. While most fans understand that, there’s still that “screaming loudest” segment of fandom that does not. These fans, for some inexplicable reason, believe that they not only should be able to see it via a WB release, but that they are entitled to see it. I’m not going to rehash this again, but my retort to those fans can be found HERE and a clarification to all the good fans HERE. HOWEVER…

One talented individual recreated the footage and posted it on YouTube. As someone who was fortunate enough to have seen in live in Hall H during SDCC ’14, this is pretty darn close to what was shown…

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN hits theaters on MAY 6, 2016.
