I stumbled upon this video yesterday searching for various bits of BATMAN '89 history. Below you'll find a documentary that Warner Bros. produced in 1988 to show film distributors and merchandisers that BATMAN wasn't going to be a silly remake of the 60's BATMAN TV series. Keep in mind that in 1988, most people thought comic books - and comic book films - were nonsense meant for "kids." If you weren't around in those days - or were too young to remember - that sort of thinking was the norm. Yes, that seems totally unbelievable in this day in age, but it was the case. You want to know why I hid being a Batman fan from junior high through my college years? Well, you would have been considered "weird" or "immature" if people found out. Anyway, here's the video and enjoy!
