"10 Bat-Questions With..." is a new feature here on BOF in honor of Batman's 75th Anniversary. Throughout the year, BOF will feature a variety of FOBOF's ("Friends of BOF") and other folks answering 10 short questions about, well, Batman. Since this is my website, I figured I'd "volunteer" to go first. Enjoy!

Favorite Batman comic book story?

JETT: "The Joker's Five-Way "Revenge" from BATMAN (Vol. 1) #251, September 1973. I'm pretty sure this is where and how I discovered the "Dark and Serious" Batman. I still have my copy today, though it doesn't have a cover any longer. Check out my coverless issue below!

Favorite Batman live-action movie?

JETT: BATMAN BEGINS! Thought I would say THE DARK KNIGHT, didn't you?

Favorite Batman artist?

JETT: Man, that's a tough one. Gotta go with two: Lee Bermejo and Neal Adams. I LOVE how Lee draws Batman "realistic," and it was Mr. Adams' work on Batman comics in the 70s that I cut my teeth on growing up. You can see his work above on the BATMAN #251 cover. Oh yeah, a quick Neal Adams story...

At the premiere of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES in New York a few years ago, he came up to me and said, "You work here? Where can I put my jacket?" OK, so I'm a little shocked because knew this cat was Neal Adams. So, I said, "No Mr. Adams, I don't work here. I'm a guest of the NOlan's." And he said, "I apologize. You just looked 'professional.'" So I told my buddy/bro-date to the event, Darren Olcsvary, "Neal Adams thought I was a coat check dude." And he said, "Well, at least he thinks you're employable!" Hahahaha!

Favorite Batman graphic novel?

JETT: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS by Frank Miller. It's one of the greatest graphic novels -- Batman or not -- ever.

Favorite Batman writer?

JETT: Another tough one. Going with two again: Scott Snyder and Denny O'Neil. Snyder is writing modern masterpieces right now, and it was Mr. O'Neil's work that I grew up reading.

Favorite moment from ANY of the live-action Batman films?

JETT: The end of THE DARK KNIGHT RISES! That ending moved me more than any other scene from any other Batman film. True story. After I first saw the film out in LA back in early July of '12, I found I had received a text from Emma Thomas (and Chris Nolan via Emma, but he doesn't text) telling me that by the time I read their text, I would have seen RISES and that the hoped I liked it. I lost it again!

Favorite animated Batman TV series?

JETT: You'll think I'm crazy, but it's BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD. I simply adore that show!

Favorite Batman actor?

JETT: Mr. Christian Bale. Remind me to tell y'all the story of the time me and my wife rode an LA hotel elevator with him and how my wife freaked out!

Favorite go-to Batman gear to wear?

JETT: The classic Batman logo on a black T-shirt.

Favorite member of the Batman Family that's not Batman?

JETT: Jim F'n Gordon!

So their you have it, the first installment of this year-long series. I've invited -- and will invite shortly -- some cool folks to participate. If you have any suggestions for guests or questions, send them to me via JETT@BATMAN-ON-FILM.COM. I'd also like to thank myself for letting me be the first of what will assuredly end up being a prestigious group of participants!
