OK, let’s finish up with “Rebirth” with a review of Part 2…

At the end of Part 1, the main character – Terry McGinnis -- had approached Wayne Manor seeking help (his father was murdered) from Bruce Wayne. Will he help, or will he go up to the old man’s house simply to find him eating butterscotch ice cream and watching Matlock reruns?

Of course, Bruce doesn't help -- he's a tremendous A-hole!

After a scene with the series antagonist, Derek Powers, our hero decides to find the answers to his father’s murder alone and steals the Bat-Suit.

I mean come on! A teenager breaks into Wayne Manor -- an almost impenetrable fortress -- and steals the most expensive piece of body armour known to man?

Since Part 1 of “Rebirth” was all character development and plot setup, Part 2 HAS to be all action right?

Right!

We see Terry (now as Batman) trying out the suit, And what do you know, he already knows how to use it!

I wonder how? Anyway…

So now we’ve got Terry trying to break into yet another billionaire’s place -- Derek Powers. Powers then conveniently unveils a master plan of global warfare just as the Terry-Batman sneaks up to eavesdrop.

Oh yeah, we also find out that Powers was indeed responsible for Terry’s father’s death.

Bruce interrupts Terry’s awesome Bat-action via a headpiece in the cowl. Guess what he wants?

Well, he desires HIS MILLION DOLLAR ROCKET PROPELLED ASS KICKY SUIT BACK!

When Terry metaphorically gives Bruce the finger, Bruce shuts down the suit.

That’s right, in the middle of a battle with ARMED security, Bruce shuts down the suit. What an A-hole! So as Terry-Batman gets his ass handed to him, Bruce has a change of heart and turns the suit back on.

After some more well done fight sequences, Terry-Batman confronts Powers. Guns start shooting and a gas canister blows up in Powers face – causing his skin to melt and Powers to become a living “Lite Brite.”

The Terry-Batman eventually prevails, finds Powers’ muscle who murdered his Dad, and shouts “I Am BATMAN!”

OK, this teenage kid -- who STOLE the Batsuit – is now Batman. He’s known Bruce Wayne for only a day and he gets to be Batman.

Somewhere, Dick Grayson’s got to be pissed!

Good episode overall and it works better if you watch both parts on one sitting. It’s still hard to believe that a teenager can become Batman that easily, but as the show progresses, it starts to make more sense.
