I'm not going to say I told you so, but...
Since PUBLIC ENEMIES hits theaters in a few weeks, Christian Bale will be out doing press for his new film. Consequently, I suspect that he'll get hammered with BATMAN 3 questions -- which he already has.
Case in point, my friends over at MTV's SPLASH PAGE has a interview with Bale (with video) in which the actor says, "I truly don’t know that we’re ever going to see another BATMAN movie."
Now let's put this into context, OK? For one thing, while Warner Bros. is waiting on Chris Nolan to make a decision (as I've been telling you), there WILL be another BATMAN -- whether Chris and Christian are a part of it is another story. (Christian is contracted for 3 Bat-Films, but so was George Clooney.)
Bale also says -- as BOF has been saying -- "It would be purely that he would need to find a story that was good enough, and if he couldn’t find that it wouldn’t happen." In other words, if Chris finds a story that he likes enough to spend two years turning into a third BATMAN, then all of this will be a moot point.

Look guys (and gals), don't freak out, OK? I figure that that "handshake agreement" between WB and Chris was let things lie for the next year while he's working on INCEPTION and they come back in early 2010 and see where both parties are at.
