Per THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, David Goyer is no longer the "show runner" on FLASHFORWARD. "As my feature projects have started ramping up again, I felt I was being pulled in too many directions," explained Goyer. Could one of the film projects David alluded to be BATMAN 3? Quite possibly.

Even though IMDB.COM is notorious for sometimes posting false info, they have upgraded the status of BATMAN 3 -- specifically UNTITLED BATMAN PROJECT -- to "Pre-Production." They also have Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman as being part of the cast. Chris Nolan is listed as the director, Charles Roven and Emma Thomas as producers, and Benjamin Melniker and (my friend and hero!) Micheal Uslan as executive producers. Bale has been cast in a Terrence Malick-directed untitled romantic drama that will shoot this Fall. Before anyone flips out (and folks have, based on the email I've received about this), I don't believe this will affect BATMAN 3 in the least. If B3 is to be a Summer 2012 release, it will probably start filming Spring 2011 -- plenty of time for Bale to finish his work on the Malick project before he's needed on the B3 set.
