Below, you'll find the latest installment of "Five Wonders"
where I ponder all things Batman, the DC Extended Universe and more!

I Wonder…

If my “Ancient Kryptonian Astronaut” theory will actually come to pass? BvS director Zack Snyder said that not only was General Zod alerted when Clark activated the ancient Kryptonian spaceship (in MAN OF STEEL), but so were Wonder Woman and Aquaman. Why did they -- Amazons and Atlanteans -- also hear it? Because they are decedents of those ancient explorers from Krypton that KNOW visited Earth (well, the DCEU Earth) hundreds of thousands of years ago! It would account for their powers as well as belief in their "gods." (Never heard of my...“Ancient Kryptonian Astronaut” theory and the sh*tstorm my speculation caused? Click on that link provided to read it.)...

Why fans were so eager to equate two of Ben Affleck’s upcoming film projects -- THE ACCOUNTANT (which he’s done with) and LIVE BY NIGHT (which he’s directing) – to a solo Batman film in 2018 and/or more solo Batman films? Hear me know and believe me later: The change of release dates for both films has NOTHING to do with Affleck’s solo Batman film endeavor(s)…

If it’s more likely than not that both JUSTICE LEAGUE movies film as one production? If it’s pretty much one story that’s being split into two parts, then I do expect Zack Snyder to film them together. In doing so, it seems it would be a whole lot easier on Ben Affleck since he’ll be spending a good chunk of 2016 working on the aforementioned LIVE BY NIGHT. The Batman stuff could be filmed during the latter part of production (which will likely extend into 2017) to accommodate Affleck’s schedule…

Why some fans saying that Warner Bros. isn’t publicizing and marketing BATMAN v SUPERMAN properly? They say that there shouldn’t be any calm (now until November-ish) before the storm (January to March 25, 2016) because they need to “keep the film in the headlines.” Are you kidding me?! Shoving this movie down people’s throats isn’t going to affect its box office one iota. There doesn’t need to be a consistent release of information, pictures, video, etc. The film will be promoted heavily very shortly, but that time isn’t right now. These folks need to be happy with what they’ve got so far as it’s been A LOT – in fact, I’d argue it’s been too much…

If David Ayer would be interested in directing another DCEU film other than SUICIDE SQAUD or a SS sequel (and there will be one)? He’d be a perfect fit for a Batman film – though we know that Ben Affleck’s going to direct the next solo Batman movie. Perhaps he’d take on a DCEU Batman prequel or maybe even a film with Batfleck – if, of course, he does more than one solo Batman film and doesn’t want to direct it himself.
