Now, on with this weekend's mailbag...

JETT SAYS: I do not expect anything to be ďannounced.Ē Mr. Uslanís comments have nothing to do with BATMAN v SUPERMAN or Batman on film, trust me. However, Iím sure that with DC Comics being there, BvS will have a small presence. But donít expect a panel or any big announcement Ďcause it ainít happening.

Do you believe the rumors that we will be getting two teaser trailers for BvS on October 26th? One is a Superman-themed trailer attached to the series premiere of SUPERGIRL and the other a Batman-themed trailer attached to GOTHAM. And supposedly the next theatrical trailer will drop in November. Thoughts?

JETT SAYS: I recall something went down similar to this back in 2005 for BATMAN BEGINS. During SMALLVILLE, Warner Bros. aired eight minutes of footage from the film. Though I was glad to see that much of BEGINS early, I thought it was odd as just about all of SMALLVILLEís audience would be going to see BEGINS anyway. I feel that same way about this rumor: Why spend the money for two minutes of airtime on CBS and FOX each when the audience of SUPERGIRL and GOTHAM will be seeing BvS regardless? If it were me, Iíd kick off (pun intended) the TV marketing of BvS during the Super Bowl in early February.

As far as this particular rumor is concerned, Iíve heard nothing about such a thing going down Ė though that doesnít mean it wonít happen. And thereís definitely another trailer coming November/December-ish.

JETT SAYS: I do not think that Chris Nolan intended for the person in the cell to be The Penguin. However, if people want to believe it is in their interpretation, thatís OK Ė nd Iím sure Chris would agree with me.

Which THE DARK KNIGHT III variant cover is your favorite?

JETT SAYS: WowÖI donít know. I very much like the ones by Lee Bermejo, Tyler Kirkham, and Tim Sale the best and probably equally.

JETT SAYS: BatmanÖIN SPACE! (Iím kidding.) Honestly, that would be what they are doing with Ben Affleckís Batman in the DCEU: An older, grizzled, tired Batman who is closer to the end than the beginning.

Did you vote to kill off Jason Todd back in the 80s?

JETT SAYS: I did. Not because I hated Jason Todd, but because I thought theyíd never really kill him off. And I was rightÖultimately.

JETT SAYS: Iíve been told that the third trailer will drop in November/December-ish and that the publicity for the film will kick into gear in early 2016.

When will GOTHAM go away?

JETT SAYS: I donít know. Itís one of the FOXís highest-rated shows and both the network and Warner Bros. Television have a lot invested in it. Iím thinking itís going to last at least four or five seasons so itís eligible for syndication. Look, I donít like it much personally, but itís not an embarrassment to Batman or anything. I simply choose not to watch it and Iím happy for the people who do and enjoy it. To each his own when it comes to Batman.

JETT SAYS: Honestly, I donít have one. Iíve never really read any of the Justice League comics Ė even when I was a kid. Iíve always been a solo Batman guy.

Did Warner Bros. want some kind of a Justice League hint/Easter Egg at the end of TDKR ?

JETT SAYS: Iím going to assume you are talking about THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, right? No, they did not as they knew that Chris Nolan wouldnít include such a thing in any of his Batman films.

First of all, do you think Chris Terrio will be making the rounds in the media during the press junket phase of BvS? Because in the two years since he was announced as doing the re-write plus the announcement that he's doing JUSTICE LEAGUE, it's been radio silence. Also do you support making Batman Day a national holiday?

JETT SAYS: I do think that Mr. Terrio will be at the main BvS junket and Iím quite looking forward to talking to him. And as far as making Batman Day a national holiday, I say HELL YESÖand the day after the Super Bowl too!

JETT SAYS: Iíd say one is most likely Ė but that doesnít mean Affleck will do only one solo Bat-flick. Iím just saying with his schedule, one seems most likely Ė but you never know.

What are your favorite Batman fan films?

JETT SAYS: Donít really have any to be honest; Iím not a big, um, fan of fan-made Batman films. I applaud the passion of all the folks who make them, but theyíre just not my cup of Bat-tea. Maybe I got soured early as the one that was championed by fanboys Ė BATMAN: DEAD END Ė sucked. I never understood why or how anyone liked it or thought it was a good interpretation of Batman.

Jett sir, what did you think of Mr. Robbie Amell comments on wanting to play Terry McGinnis in a live-action BATMAN BEYOND?

JETT SAYS: I think it was cool and all, but itíll never happen Ė at least not with Amell in the role of Terry. Iím a supporter of a live-action BATMAN BEYOND, but I think weíre a ways off from it happening Ė if it ever does.

I know DCCU is and will always be its own thing; but just for the heck of it, what other franchise would you crossover with DCEU?

JETT SAYS: Personally, I wouldnít want to see the DCEU crossover with another franchise/cinematic universe (and youíre right, itíll never happen), but if I HAD to pick, I guess it would be the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Batman would kick any Marvel characterís ass.

Itís been said that Ben Affleck and Zack Snyder are guiding the DECU. Is Chris Terrio part of that group? Also, since George Miller dropped out of MAN OF STEEL 2, who would you like to see direct the movie?

JETT SAYS: Zack Snyder is the DCEUís guiding force and Ben Affleck has a lot of say over how Batman is portrayed and handled. But yes, Chris Terrio is certainly part of the DCEU brain trust. As far MAN OF STEEL 2, George Miller didnít drop out as he was never aboard in the first place. If I had to pick a director for the next solo Superman film (if thereís one Ė and I hope there will be), it would be Brad Bird.
