Posted by: Jett Do you believe in Harvey Dent? These folks do! Thanks to all the BOF'ers that sent in pics and reports from: New York City, Hollywood, Houston (well, that was just me), San Francisco, Ann Arbor (Michigan), Philadelphia, Atlanta, Austin (OK, that was me again), College Station (Texas), Columbus (Ohio), Tucson (Arizona), and Chicago. It looks as if the Dent Rallies picked up steam as they progressed -- especially in LA and NYC.

The organizers were great, making sure everyone got a shirt and signs before we left. 'ManWhoLaughs83' gave a good review of the events. We were at the end of the march, so we got a couple of good group shots as we headed down Hollywood Blvd. The sound and camera crew ran up and down the group, getting what we hope were some good film for a possible bonus feature. Regardless of the heat, great times were had by all!"

The March for Dent "BEGINS" in Hollywood! LA/Hollywood, CA (from "ManWhoLaughs83")
We walked up and the organizers informed us that the march would begin a little after 2PM. We grabbed out T-Shirts and buttons and they gave us a couple signs to carry. We took a few photos for ibelieveinharveydent.com while we waited. It didn't take long for a crowd of half a dozen to grow into well over 50. I'd say there were probably 60 to 75 people when the march finally began around a quarter after 2PM. Before we started, the organizers helped us rehearse our chants: 'Harvey Dent for DA! Take back Gotham!' 'I believe in Harvey Dent! Take back Gotham!' Plus the fan-made chant, 'Gotham is a slum! Harvey is our chum!' We began marching with two large banners and dozens of signs. We headed down Hollywood Blvd., aka the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Cars were honking and we were passing out buttons as we marched and chanted. People really thought we were legit and kept running up and asking, ‘Who's Harvey Dent?’ It was an absolute blast! I even got a chance to get a shot of my Dent sign lying next to the star of an old foe of Harvey's, Jack Palance, aka Carl Grissom of BATMAN '89 fame. I was pretty into it and lost track of just how far we marched, but my legs were burning by the time it was all over. There was also a camera man and sound engineer recording the whole march, so hopefully my beautiful mug will make it onto the DVD extras of TDK. All in all, it was a great turn out and a few people we handed buttons to actually started marching along with us, so it's tough to say just how many actually ended up marching in addition to the five or six dozen we started with. We were very vocal and made sure Tinseltown knew it was time for Harvey Dent to take back Gotham!"

I just attended the rally for Harvey Dent here in Ann Arbor -- gotta say it was awesome to see other Batman fans out here. It’s been relatively warm the past couple days, but today it started snowing. Nonetheless, there were a decent amount of Harvey Dent supporters who came out (I’d estimate about 20 or 25), all of whom were college students from the University of Michigan. The Dentmobile team gave us t-shirts, posters, stickers, bumper stickers, & window stickers. We started off at the Michigan Union, and after about half an hour, started walking around the campus, frequently disrupting traffic whilst chanting ‘Harvey Dent! Harvey Dent!’ We walked to the Diag (the center of campus) and even into one of the buildings, just to escape the snow for a while. We passed by the computer lab (known around here as the Fishbowl, because of the large glass windows in front of it) and got the attention of many of the students inside. We walked back outside and continued to get the attention of many of the cars passing by. What made me laugh was how many of the bystanders had no idea that it wasn’t an actual campaign. While I wasn’t able to go to the earlier stops in Ann Arbor, I heard from some people who had that there was actually a group of people who were dressed up as The Joker at the first stop at Briarwood Mall, and the whole campaign got escorted out of the mall because they didn’t have permission to be there as it was private property"

The Dent rally in Ann Arbor consisted of people far more dedicated than myself, as I (ahem) got my dent stuff and got the hell out. It was bloody cold and my hat's off to those who stayed and probably got people driving by thinking, ’Is there another candidate I don't know about?’ The best aspect were three clowns who showed up with sheets over their heads. They had cardboard signs, which were OK, but their individual looks were VERY cool."
